Our 1st Mission
Adventure is the tagline of our story. We love wheels. My husband likes putting big ones on all the vehicles (says my son). He like to switch them all the time. He can ride any recreational vehicle with two or four wheels. Supposedly, he can also make it down a snowy mountain on a snowboard. I know I cannot. From very painful experience.
We generally travel in groups. His world has accepted us as the newest members of the clan when it’s time to camp. Camping means side-by-sides, dirt bikes, ATVs, motorcycles, etc. It’s always a blast, but…
I’m the one who holds the camera. I’m also the silently chosen one to distribute the media, despite having no presence on social media. Email and Facebook cannot handle 4-K GoPro videos. Normal thumb drives cannot handle more than a few videos before it costs a small fortune to make enough for everyone who was present at camp. So I made a YouTube channel called “Murray’s Throttle Therapy.” It was perfect. Everyone can now view the GoPro videos in the intended format, interact with them, and request specific downloads to make life a million times easier.
And now, Left-Hand Yarning
If you read the About Me page, do so. Our family channel has now switched gears. (Pun Intended ;)
The Purpose of the Website
I hate YouTube. You can hear the edge in my voice while I ramble on about how I was watching a video, an ad came up, I accidentally hit it, and I ended up on a website. I have to change back to the YouTube app. It’s already refreshed. I don’t know where the thing I was looking for is. My daughter watches someone on my YouTube, and now it’s her YouTube stuff showing up. You try to comment, and a commercial pops out of nowhere, and you end up clicking something else. I just learned you can skip commercials after 6 seconds, which to me is a life hack. You forget to subscribe until the end, and now it’s too late. The 10-second forward and backward buttons only work half the time. I can’t figure out how to get back to the last video or how to find the newest one. I CAN GO ON FOREVER.
Although I hate it, I suck it up and follow the prompts on my phone to upload them. I design the graphic for the thumbnail on my computer, and then I fill in the blanks on my computer. There. Done. And if I’m wrong or can do something better, I’ll make you your own damn Plushie if it makes my life easier and makes me hate YouTube a little less. Haha, but forreal. Just tell me what you want.
